To Bangkok to make marriage licence, Narra Hotel

Me wife to be and I came to Bangkok to get our marriage licence. We booked two nights at the Narra Hotel, because it is close to the area with most of the Public offices in Bangkok, and we thought two days would be needed to fix all the papers (stupid me. I already know about the Thai bureaucracy). To make a long story short; it took three days just to get the marriage licence legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Back to the hotel; for this type of trip my requirements for the hotel is that it must be clean, quite and serve a good breakfast. Narra hotel had all that, and a friendly staff. What more can you ask for?

Just a short walk to the Government Complex and the Avenue Plaza. Clean and comfortible very quick check in and check out. Easy to find! Very friendly staff. The only pitty was a really dirty aircon exactly over the breakfast bufet... this should be done as quick as possible!!!

We are on an Asian trip to join our Son getting married in Thailand. We stayed at this hotel first on the 13th July, they didn’t have our reservation which was extremely annoying, but I print everything out & finally we got our room after a long flight from the UK. As they didn’t have this booking I asked them to check that they had our second reservation for the 17th( as we were flying back from Cambodia ) the receptionist said yes they had the reservation. So after a late flight into Don Muang, we arrived at the hotel at approximately 11.45pm & were told by the same receptionist they didn’t have our reservation & that the hotel was full !! We were livid as you can imagine, for the second time !! They called the manager & suggested a nearby hotel, but wanted us to pay them ( Narra) the same price we were paying for the Narra, the other hotel was 450 tbt cheaper , this we refused to do !We were then walked around to the other hotel, after midnight & were then told we had to pay a credit card fee to pay by credit card & as this was no fault of our own, we refused, the manager of the Narra then said we could go to a cash machine & get the money!! You just could not make this up, by this point my husband was about to explode with fury, we had to be up in less than 4 hrs for our flight to Bali. The hotel we stayed in wasn’t very nice at all & was inferior to the Narra & it actually felt very seedy. The first night we stayed in the Narra, booked as was the closest to Don Muang airport , the room was nice & hotel seemed fine. The second debacle was an absolute disgrace. We booked the hotel thru one of the biggest hotel booking sites which we use a lot & 2 hrs after we were turned away from the Narra we received an email asking us WHY we hadn’t checked in , just laughable. Stay here at your own risk, you may or may not get a room.

ที่พักอยู่ซอยแจ้งวัฒนะ13 หลังปั๊มเชลล์ หาง่าย จอดรถสะดวก พนักงานต้อนรับดี ห้องพักสะอาด แต่ควรจะเพิ่มเงินถ้าต้องอยู่ชั้น 2 เพราะอยู่หลังปั๊มเปิดม่านไม่ได้เลย เพราะไม่เป็นส่วนตัว ร้านอาหารส่วนใหญ่จะอยู่ฝั่งตรงข้าม ต้องเดินไป หรือขับรถไป

バンコク市内のチェーンワッタナ路沿いにあるブティック形式のホテル。近年開発されたバンコクの新官庁街（通称ガバメント・コンプレックス）への入り口にあり。ホテルの近辺にはビッグCやロータスといったショッピングセンターがあり、道路の混雑もさほど酷くはないこともありロケーションはまずまず。ホテルの建屋そのものはこじんまりとした構造ではあるが、モダンなデザインで館内全体がコーディーネートされており見た目の満足度は高い。特に、ロビー周辺のシンプルな木目調の内装は1ランク上の高級感さえ漂わせている。客室は少々狭いものの、やはり現代風の味付けの内装が施されている。シンプルではあるが機能性重視でビジネス宿泊客にはおそらく好評を以て迎えられそうである。特筆すべきはシャワールームであり、シックな色合いの壁タイルもさることながら、独立したシャワーブースが設けられている。ホテルの周辺にこれといった観光資源がないのが辛いのだが、純粋な宿泊目的でも価格以上の満足度が得られることが請け合いであり万人にオススメできる。
